The process of granting a visa-free regime to Georgia will be over by October, 2016, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and the Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn stated.

He made the corresponding statement at the 13th International Conference “Georgia's European Way - Stability, Development, Diversity” held in Batumi  on Thursday , Georgian TV channel Imedi reported.

The European Commission on December 18 ,2015 recommended to the EU Council to consider quickly the possibility of introduction of a visa-free regime with Georgia, Ukraine and the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo, publishing  the corresponding reports on implementation of the action plan for preparation for a visa-free regime.
