Brexit does not mean UK rejects its role in Europe, said Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

According to him, Britain is vital to continue close cooperation in Europe in view of the growing threat of terrorism. He noted that the decision to withdraw from the EU was adopted in accordance with the will of the people, but this does not mean that “we left Europe.”

“We do not intend to give up the leading role in Europe and cooperation,” he said, adding that they have to work together amid terrible events in Nice and Turkey.
