The Bulgarian Parliament had approved the resignation of the Prime Minister , the head of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party Boyko Borisov.  Borisov responded to his party's candidate Tsetska Tsacheva’s defeat in the presidential election, reports the DW.

Bulgaria has currently found itself in a complicated situation, since the main political forces are not ready to form a new government. Therefore, it is likely that there will be held early elections in Bulgaria. However, as the Bulgarian Constitution specifies, the outgoing President - Rosen Plevneliev - will neither be able to dissolve the parliament nor set the election day until the end of the term of his office.

Thus, he will appoint a transitional government before January 22, 2017, which will rule the country in the coming months. It is possible that a consequent government crisis will take place in Bulgaria, because of it.

AS reported earlier, 53-year-old non-partisan general Rumen Radev took most voices in the presidential elections in Bulgaria. The candidacy of Radev was suggested by the Socialist Party. It is known, that he is in favor of improving relations with Moscow. The current president of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev refused to run his candidacy for a new term.
