The US President Barack Obama will arrive to Berlin on November 16. Obama and European leaders will discuss extension of sanctions and a possibility of imposing new sanctions against Russia, reports the Reuters.

The meeting will take place in Berlin on November 18. The heads of the UK, France, Italy, and Spain will take part in the meeting. According to the source, they will consider a possibility of extending the sanctions, as their term expires in January.

“We're in a really critical situation … We have to prevent a situation where the EU rolls over the sanctions and then the new U.S. president comes in and lifts them," said the German official.
