The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, commenting on relations with Russia, pinpointed to common feature among post-Soviet states, reports Tut.by. "When difficult times come, we begin defending ourselves. We do try to find a solution together, but rather isolate over our national issues," said Lukashenko.

According to Lukashenko, Belarus develops domestic production of drugs and plans to sell it in Russia. However, the accesses of this business to Russia, as it appears, is difficult. Therefore, it is necessary for both countries to intervene.

"From time to time there arise conflicts at our borders regarding supplies of this or that Belarusian products. We know who stands behind them. Then, the discrediting begins: as if we are imposing an embargo on crabs’ supplies to Belarus. But, it is us, who have been supplying shrimps and herring since the Soviet times. Our companies catch and buy fish around the world, process and supply them to the Russian market, "he said.

In his opinion, Russia should not be afraid that Belarus will occupy the Russian market. On the contrary, it is Belarus, that should be afraid of Russia not to swallow it like a monster.
