The British Prime Minister Theresa May has promised to make every effort to ensure, that Britain has become more powerful and richer after exiting the EU, reports the BBC.

She also promised to increase funding for scientific research till 2020 for up to 2 billion pounds. In addition, there will  be changes to corporate governance, providing that there is a space for companies’ employees as well. May also noted that taxes for companies that are involved in innovation might be reduced. The corporate tax for such companies will fall from 20 percent to 17 percent by 2020.

“I am asking British businesses to work with me to change this. It will mean establishing the best corporate governance of any major economy, ensuring the voices of employees and consumers are properly represented in board deliberations and reforming executive pay. This will be essential to ensure business maintains and — where necessary — regains public trust,” said May.
