YEREVAN. – The Armenia-European Union (EU) negotiations are proceeding with success, and the next negotiation meeting will take place in December.

German Ambassador to Armenia, Bernhard Matthias Kiesler, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

“The fact that such an agreement will be signed is already a success,” added the ambassador. “It’s an impetus that Armenia wishes to go on the road of modernization, reforms. It’s an impetus that the EU is an important partner for it on this road.”

The German diplomat also expressed a conviction that the EU and the EU member states are much more interested in giving new impetus to this document to be signed.

“It’s such news that could promote European businesses to implement their economic programs here [in Armenia],” noted Kiesler. “This can be very positive news for the development of this sector [in the country].

“I would  set apart the visa facilitation point in the agreement to be signed with the EU.”
