Kuwait has not backed down from purchasing from Boeing twenty-eight multifunctional F / A-18E / F Super Hornet fighters to update its outdated fleet, reports the Kuwaiti news agency, referring to the Kuwait Defence Ministry Spokesman Major General Lafi Al Aazmi.
"This transaction provides that the supplier will purchase old Hornet fighters from Kuwait. The transaction value does not exceed five billion dollars, "said Al Aazmi. This month, the US State Department has approved the sale of fighter jets to Kuwait. The Kuwaiti parliament voted earlier this year to allocate $ 10 billion for buying new armament for the army.
