Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak responded to U.S. president Donald Trump’s travel ban.

As Cumhuriyet noted, Kaynak stated that with this decision the U.S. abandon their history.

U.S. President’s order suspended entry of all refugees to the United States for 120 days, barred Syrian refugees indefinitely, and blocked entry into the United States for 90 days for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Against the background of Turkey's refusal to recognize the undeniable facts of its own history, including the Armenian Genocide, such statements of Turkish officials look at least ridiculous.
