The aggravation of the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone may be linked to the attempts to destabilize North Caucasus, political scientist Karine Gevorgyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The situation in the Caucasus is unstable, and some statements by Azerbaijani officials prove that this country can still proceed to military action,” she noted.

In her words, the aggravation of the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone may be linked to the attempts to destabilize North Caucasus by way of Karachay-Cherkessia.

And when asked who benefits from this, Gevorgyan stated that this will obstruct the implementation of the Chinese project of the New Silk Road.
