U.S. and the historical West are losing their dominating positions in the world. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Lavrov, the U.S. and the historical West are losing their absolutely dominating positions which they enjoyed for almost five centuries, and as new centers of economic growth, financial power, and political influence appear as a result of natural progress of the history, and as the international system needs to be adapted to involve these new centers of power in the processes of equal dialogue, the United States unfortunately breaks into methods that are illegitimate and with which they are trying to stop the reduction of their relative role in world politics.
