Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the chairman of Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), has made a demand in connection with the difference in the Turkish and the US sides’ statements issued regarding the telephonic conversation between Turkish and American Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Donald Trump.

The CHP leader noted that these statements are totally opposite of one another, and demanded that the authorities present the voice recording of the Erdoğan-Trump conversation to the public, according to Cumhuriyet (Republic) newspaper of the country.

Turkey’s respective statement had said that Erdoğan drew Trump’s attention to the stopping of arms supply to Syrian Kurds, and at the end of the telephonic conversation, the sides agreed to jointly combat terrorism.

The respective White House statement, however, had said that Trump called on Turkey to act cautiously in the Afrin operation, so as not to engage American troops. Also, the US President stressed that this Turkish military operation in Syria should be limited and should not to harm civilians.
