Four American Republican senators sent an open letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and urged him to pay attention to Russia’s Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and his son Artyom Chaika, Kamo Avagumyan, the son's business partner, former wife of Deputy Prosecutor General Gennady Lopatin- Olga and businessman Alisher Usmanov.

These people are associated with “significant acts of corruption,” Voice of America reported referring to American expert Daniel Fried.

According to him, the fact that someone is included into “Kremlin Report” does not mean that sanctions will be imposed immediately against a person or company.

If the goal of the list is to reduce the participation of its persons in Putin's aggressive schemes, then it is necessary to keep it open, in case there is more information in the future or that there was an opportunity to exclude people from the list,  Daniel noted, adding that the list of US Treasure, existing sanctions is designed to increase pressure on Putin on the part of his close associates.
