YEREVAN. – Transgender who was severely beaten in Yerevan is in a critical, but stable condition, representative of the hospital told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Shushan Danielyan said the patient was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury, soft tissue injuries, and is in an intensive care unit.

As reported earlier, an incident occurred in the victim’s house, a lawyer for the Right Side human rights defender NGO Vahe Manukyan said.

The attacker beat the victim and set his apartment on fire. The man escaped, but was identified by police.
