YEREVAN. – The traffic through the Dilijan tunnel was restored with certain restrictions, but there is still no electricity in the tunnel, Armenian transport ministry said in a statement.

The tunnel was temporarily closed due to a truck that caught fire on Saturday. The truck has been removed from the tunnel, the ministry said.

As reported earlier, a truck with Georgian license plates is on fire in Dilijan tunnel, as of Saturday at 11։30am. The truck was carrying washing machines and televisions.

The tunnel is a gate to Tavush province and is an important connecting point between the capital Yerevan and northeastern Armenia.
