One person has died after a tragic road accident Sunday, in Syunik Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reported.
At 3pm, the 911 emergency hotline received a report that a car had fallen into Voghji river, on the Yerevan-Meghri motorway.
The rescuers who were dispatched to the scene brought the driver’s dead body out of the river.
In addition, the police and rescuers found the SUV in the river.
Those assembled at the scene said the driver was a resident of Barekavan village in Syunik Province, and his relatives were looking for him for the past three days, as missing.
According to preliminary information, the vehicle had crashed into concrete barriers and fallen into the river.
