German Chancellor Angela Merkel will support the extension of the sanctions imposed by the EU against Russia during the upcoming EU summit.
Moscow has so far failed to achieve progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, Merkel said when answering questions of Bundestag members.
Brexit and sanctions against Russia are on the agenda of the EU summit which will be held on December 13-14.
