The other day, three young residents of Echmiadzin, the brothers Hayk and Azad Yeghiazaryan, as well as Arsen Baghdasatyan, were beaten by officers of the Vagharshapat police department, reported the Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun newspaper.

Hay was released on parole, but Azat and Arsen are kept at the Nubarashen penitentiary.

Hayk told the newspaper that seven to eight policemen beat and clubbed them, forcing them into admitting an alleged theft.

The lawyer Hovik Arsenyan said he cannot get a permit to meet with Azad and Arsen.
