Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s forces struck oil export hubs in Brega and Adjamiya, BBC reports referring to Reuters.

Witnesses say a warplane bombed Brega and Adjamiya towns. According to Associated Press, 14 people were killed within the recent hours.

“Thousands of Libyans would die if the United States or NATO enters Libya, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said in a televised statement on March 2. He called on the United Nations to set up a fact finding committee to investigate the situation in the country.

According to some reports, Gaddafi and Secretary General of League of Arab States Amr Moussa have agreed to a proposal of Venzuela’s president Hugo Chavez to mediate in political crisis.

This plan supposes sending a peacekeeping mission, comprising of the representatives from Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. The mission’s aim is to hold talks with the conflicting parties to achieve peaceful resolution of the political crisis and not to admit foreign military intervention.
