Former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak’s second son Gamal Mubarak attempted suicide following his father’s ouster after a three-decade rule, Algerian “Echorouk” news reports citing its sources.
He was found unconscious in the family residence in Sharm el-Sheikh. According to the report, he tried to commit a suicide by drinking poisoned tea. However, doctors managed to survive him, Gazeta.ru reports.
Gamal Mubarak was considered a successor to his father’s presidency.
