The Armenian authorities will not accept the ultimatum issued by the Armenian National Congress (ANC). The ruling forces will be open to the ANC as soon as it stops speaking in terms of ultimatums, Galust Sahakyan, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The ruling forces are ready to start cooperating with the ANC "any day" without any preconditions.

Hovhannes Margaryan, a member of the Rule of Law party, said that the ANC had better make specific proposals, and the ruling forces would be ready to discuss them.

However, the coalition forces` logic proved unclear to Vahan Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) faction. He admitted he did not read the ANC-issued 15-point ultimatum. "I can hardly find time to read it. However, I cannot understand the ruling forces` logic. The authorities say they are ready to accept the ANC-set terms, they are called proposals rather than an ultimatum. That is, if the ANC calls its demands for the resignation of the Government and Chief of the Armenian police a `proposal`, the authorities will accept it, will they not?" Hovhannisyan asked.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that at its latest rally, the ANC issued a 15-point ultimatum to the Armenian authorities.
