Around 12,500 refugees, stuck on the border between Libya and Tunisia, cannot cross it fearing armed forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, said Melissa Fleming, spokeswoman of the High Commissioner for Refugees.
The border is controlled by Gaddafi’s supporters armed to the teeth who are preventing people from entering Tunisia, RIA Novosti reported.
According to UN, the number of refugees has already reached 180,000.
