It would be naïve to hold great expectations over the Armenian Azerbaijan and Russian Presidents’ meeting in Moscow, Head of the Center for Globalization and Regional Cooperation Stepan Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“First of all the meeting is not held within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. Besides, soldiers are killed in the line of contact of NKR-Azerbaijani armed forces,” the expert stressed, adding it is senseless to have great expectations.

According to Grigoryan, the meeting enables the parties to take confidence-building measures and reduce the tension.  The meeting will focus on withdrawal of snipers from the contact line, exchange of war prisoners and dead bodies. Political solutions are unlikely to be arrived at,” he stressed.

As Armenian News.NEWS.am reported earlier, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a working visit to Sochi. Within the framework of his visit, Sargsyan-Aliyev-Medvedev meeting will be held in Sochi on March 5 through the mediation of Dmitry Medvedev.
