Former Turkish Minister of National Defense Ercan Vuralhan was arrested in a bank in Sisli district of Istanbul, CNNturk reports.
Three people accompanying Varulhan were also brought to police to give evidence.
The former minister is accused of committing fraud and extorting large sums of money.
