British soldiers who had been placed on heightened readiness due to unrests in Libya, the British Telegraph reported.  

The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland, may be deployed in North Africa in case of escalation of Libya’s cisis. The 600-member unit returned from Afghanistan in late 2009.

A wave of unrest is continuing to spread across the Arab world following the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and Libya. The demonstrators protest against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi who has been in power for more than 40 years.

Four Armenian citizens were evacuated from Libya last Wednesday. They left for Moscow by a Russian plane.
