Greek judge Linos Alexandre-Sicilianos has been elected President of the European Court of Human Rights, reports RIA Novosti.
“His term as president will begin on 5 May 2019,” the document states.
Sicilianos has been a judge of the ECHR since 18 May 2011 and will succeed Italian judge Guido Raimondi. The mandate of the new president will be in effect until May 2020.
