Garegin Khumaryan is the new Executive Director of the Public Radio of Armenia, based on the decision taken by the Council of the Public Television and Radio Company during its April 3 session. The Council also adopted a declaration, which reads as follows:

“Today, on 3 April 2019, the ad-hoc committee for organizing and holding the tender for filling the vacancy of Executive Director of the “Public Radio Company of Armenia” Closed Joint-Stock Company (the ad-hoc committee was established by the Council of the Public Television and Radio Company) summed up the results of the tender announced for filling the vacancy of Executive Director of the “Public Radio Company of Armenia” Closed Joint-Stock Company.

Examining the concept papers of the 30 candidates who had applied to participate in the tender, the committee set aside 29 participants and invited them to interviews.

After the interviews, the members of the committee elected the Executive Director of the “Public Radio Company of Armenia” Closed Joint-Stock Company by a closed voting.

Guided by the requirements in point 2.14 of the procedure for holding a tender for the vacancies of Executive Directors of the “Public Television Company of Armenia”, “Public Radio Company of Armenia”, “Public Television and Radio of Shirak” and “Public Spiritual-Cultural Television Company” closed joint-stock companies, approved upon Decision No 50-L of the Council of the Public Television and Radio Company of 6 September 2010, the committee decided to declare Garegin Khumaryan as the winner of the tender since he garnered the maximum votes during the voting.”
