On March 9, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with his Latvian counterpart Valdis Zatlers at Riga Castle.

The meeting was held behind closed doors. Later, the delegations of the two states met in an extended format, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan and Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan are included in the Armenian delegation.

Within the framework of the visit Serzh Sargsyan will hold meetings with Latvian Parliament Speaker Solvita Aboltina and Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis.

The Armenian president will also participate in the Armenian-Latvian business forum in Riga and meet with representatives of the local Armenian community.
