The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has issued a regular report on economic development in Armenia forecasting 4.5% GDP growth in 2011.
A 4.6% GDP growth is budgeted in Armenia for this year by the government.
However, the Armenian government and EBRD present different factors impacting economic growth in the country. For instance, EBRD says recovery is based on the resumption of remittance inflows and high copper price, whereas the government hopes for agriculture growth and manufacturing industry.
EBRD advises the government to continue improvement of business environment, stressing importance of reforms of the tax system.
