Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said views on Libya’s crisis will change if information about domestic developments is spread.

In an interview with Turkish state-run TV television he also commented on the problem of refugees, noting country’s doors are always open for them.

He recalled that Turkey and Libya have common history, stressing that the Turkish army had been fighting against terrorists for many years. However, Gaddafi noted that Turkey’s air zone is not closed. “Why don’t U.S. and Europe make such decision on the issue?” he wondered, hinting another approach is used against Libya. He also said Libya does not need humanitarian aid.  

A wave of unrest continues in Libya since February. The demonstrators protest against leader Muammar Gaddafi who has been in power for more than 40 years.

Four Armenian citizens were evacuated from Libya on February 23. They left for Moscow by a Russian plane.
