Armenian and Latvian Foreign Ministers signed an agreement on technical assistance of Latvia to Armenia within the EU Eastern Partnership project.

Speaking at a briefing, Latvian President Valdis Zatlers noted Riga is ready to assist Armenia’s convergence with Europe. He stressed Latvia has a great experience in the process of European integration and in this context can render technical assistance to Armenia which will be easy as Latvian experts know Russian language. Besides, it will be easy for the states to cooperate as they used to be in a common social political environment.

In his turn President Serzh Sargsyan stressed ordinary Armenian citizens will feel results after certain steps are realized within the Eastern Partnership project. “Social conditions will improve and economic activity will become tangible,” he said.
