Construction of a building belonging to the Armenian Karagozyan orphanage in Istanbul is completing. The building is located in Sisli Square and is one of the Istanbul business centers.

Chairman of Karagozyan foundation Tigran Gulmezgil said that they will grant on lease the territory that will enable to receive funds to cover expenses for training and habitation of 200 orphans, as well as costs for education of about 2000 students of the Armenian community.

Tigran Gyulmezgil stressed that the project was implemented with the assistance of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Hurriyet newspaper reports.

“They are always interested in our structure, but did not want to voice any information about it. Soon the construction will be over and we can announce it is the greatest support for national minorities by the prime minister in history of the Turkish Republic,” he said.
