Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said he does not rule out he will meet with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian to discuss the Karabakh peace process.

Certain constructive points were voiced during the Sochi meeting, therefore Baku considers the process continues, Mammadyarov told the journalists after his meeting with his Albanian counterpart Edmond Hacinasto.

“Several ministerial meetings may be held on recommendation of the presidents,” he said. Azerbaijani FM stressed regular meeting will be most likely held at the initiative of the Russian side, ITAR-TASS reports. According to him, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has voiced such a proposal.

Mammadyarov also informed the journalists of a forthcoming visit of mediators to Baku and Yerevan. “Work continues. Although several issues remain open they are discussed more thoroughly and Azerbaijani side is ready to continue the discussion,” he said.
