Protests against President Ilahm Aliyev’s regime are being held in the center of Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku.

The center of protest is the Baku State University, RFE/RL reported.

At about 2:00 p.m. local time police blocked the streets leading to the main building. In a half an hour policeman started dispersing groups of students who gathered to hold a protest against ruling regime. They also hindered work of journalists.

Last week supporters of the Islamic opposition tried to hold protests in the center of Azerbaijan’s capital but they were suppressed.
