Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited on Saturday construction site of a new building of Matenadaran, institute of ancient manuscripts located in Yerevan.
Institute’s director Hrachya Tamrazyan told the journalists that new building will have modern equipment and will be larger, situated in the territory of 11,358 square meters. A new building will be put into operation on September 21, 2011 – the day marking 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
Architect Arthur Meschyan drafted the plan of a new building.
