Armenia attaches significance to cooperation with Sweden in political, economic and humanitarian fields, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at the meeting with the newly appointed Swedish Ambassador to Armenia Diana Janse (residence-Tbilisi).

Nalbandian expressed hope Mrs. Janse will contribute to strengthening of relations between two states during his diplomatic mission, the press service of Armenian Foreign Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Nalbandian attached importance to improvement of contractual underpinnings, bilateral dialogue, as well as cultural cooperation.

The Armenian Foreign Minister welcomed Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt’s visit to Armenia scheduled for April 2011. The sides also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation.
