Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan did not rule out possibility that he would visit Raffi Hovannisian, leader of the Heritage Party who has been on hunger strike for nine days.

Commenting on recent statement issued by ex-foreign minister who urged President Serzh Sargsyan to encourage Raffi Hovannisian to stop hunger strike, the Armenian Speaker noted that it is president’s prerogative to make decisions concerning his moves.

Hovik Abrahamyan also called on the Heritage party to stop boycotting parliament sessions and return to work. He considers more expedient to attend parliament sessions and discuss topical issues rather than declare boycotts and hunger strike.
