On March 26, NKR President Bako Sahakyan met theater workers of the republic.

Bako Sahakyan congratulated all representatives of Artsakh’s dramatic art on the World Theater Day.

A wide range of issues related to the present situation in the sphere and its development prospects were discussed during the meeting.

Minister of culture and youth affairs Narine Aghabalyan delivered a report, NKR Presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The President noted that the theater was among the pivotal means of preserving national culture and universal human values whose role in the life of state and society especially in the present situation was difficult to overestimate.

At the same time the NKR President mentioned that numerous issues needed urgent solution.

Among them Bako Sahakyan considered the reconstruction of Stepanakert dramatic theater adding that a corresponding assignment was given for elaborating this project.

The President considered equally important the preparation of young and qualified cadres as well as improving moral and psychological atmosphere in the theater.
