An exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide is held in the Holocaust Memorial Center in Oakland County, Michigan.
“Barsamian: 20 years-Searching for the Answer” opens today at the memorial center’s Zekelman Family Campus in Farmington Hills, Port Huron Times Herald reports.
The exhibit by Dallas-based artist Robert Barsamian features massacre of 1.5 million Armenians by Turkish soldiers in 1915.
The exhibit was inspired by the childhood memories of Barsamian’s grandmother, says news release issued by Holocaust Memorial Center.
Executive director Stephen Goldman said “there are lessons for humanity in all mass atrocities.”
