YEREVAN. - Past newspaper writes that since the resignation of Artur Vanetsyan from the position of President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), various names for the future FFA President candidate are being discussed.

A number of representatives of the football world said in a conversation with Past that the President of the FFA should first of all be a "man of football."

On the other hand, they considered it important that he be apolitical and not dependent on any force.

As per the newspaper, reports have been circulating since yesterday that the authorities are keen to see in that position legendary French Armenian footballer Youri Djorkaeff, who last year had declined from assuming that position.

The name of the other legendary Armenian footballer, Khoren Hovhannisyan, is also being discussed, but there is no unified approach, a consensus, so to speak, regarding him.

Our sources claim that many are keen on the candidacy of Khoren Kalashyan, the not so well-known, but one of the young staff who masters football management.

It is not ruled that other names will also be circulated and discussed by December 23 [when the next FFA President will be elected].
