YEREVAN. – The main document assumes that the EEU has the right to conclude agreements with various states and international organizations in its own interests, and this process is already underway as such agreements have been concluded with Singapore, Vietnam, and Iran. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said this at the November 25 meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, during the debates on the ratification of the bill on ratification of the agreements on Eurasian economic agreements with third countries, international organizations, or international integration unions.
According to him, the submitted agreements also provide for the entry into force, termination, accession, freezing and breaking of any international treaty. The deputy FM noted that till now all the contracts have been signed without the existence of proper order. “But that does not mean at all that such jurisdiction has not existed so far; the main contract gave us such an opportunity, ”Kocharyan explained. “The fact that the agreement is being signed with delay is also a plus, as we already have experience. Questions were always raised at a time when negotiations were being held with Vietnam, Iran, and other countries; and the circumstances surrounding those issues are reflected in the agreement."
The aforesaid parliamentary standing committee approved the bill.
