Head of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly has addressed Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with a proposal to provide urgent assistance to the Armenians of Lebanon.

Marukyan’s letter particularly reads as follows:

“As many of you know, massive protests and mass disturbances have been going on in Lebanon for a long time now. This situation poses a threat to the safety of the large Armenian community of Lebanon.

In these conditions, the Government of the Republic of Armenia needs to support our hundreds of thousands of compatriots in Lebanon.

With that said, the Bright Armenia faction has proposed to implement an urgent program to receive representatives of the Armenian community of Lebanon in Armenia and provide them with necessary assistance,” Marukyan stated.
