Not a day passes without a lie…Pashinyan lied again — this is the caption of the Facebook post by Vice-President of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan.
He particularly wrote the following: “Today, Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the British analytical institute’s Legatum Prosperity Index 2019 and wrote that “Armenia is ranked 61st, improving its position by 27 points compared to 2018”.
I don’t know what Nikol was relying on when he wrote another lie, but I would like to sadden him and say that there are still people in Armenia who completely read the originals of such reports.
And so, in reality, yes, Armenia has improved its position, but by 7 points, not 27. Armenia was ranked 68th last year.
I will leave the other mistakes aside, such as “the authors of the Index compare the countries based on 9 criteria” (the authors actually compare the countries based on 12 criteria).
P.S.: I will also try not to rule out the fact that this disinformation was given by the Staff of the Government. In this case, the officials that prepared the false statements of information must be punished.”
