Marmashen Monastery is being restored. The government of the Republic of Armenia (RA) has informed about this on Facebook.

"The [respective] works include archeological research and excavations.

The Marmashen monastery complex is located in the administrative territory of Vahramaberd village of RA Shirak Province, on the left bank of Akhuryan River, 10 km away from Gyumri. According to the inscription on the south wall, the first—main—church of the complex was built by Vahram Pahlavouni in 988,” the government added.
