YEREVAN. – At its Cabinet meeting Thursday, the government approved a package of laws related to the provision of public services by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

The package was presented by the Minister of Justice, Rustam Badasyan, noting that in particular, it is proposed to establish a new system of civil acts registration agencies in the country in the “front and back office” format.

The next change, according to the minister, is the specifying of the procedure for submitting e-applications—and by the order of the justice minister.

Next, when registering a commercial legal entity, there will be an opportunity to indicate the preferred state registration period, and this shall eliminate possible respective queues.

Also, the requirement for submission of notarized translations of documents issued by a foreign country has been removed.

The deadlines for registering a marriage and changing the name have been reduced, and the grounds for changing the name have been removed.

The state duty has been removed for some public services, but it has been increased for some other services.
