Andrey Ghukasyan has been relieved of the post of Governor of Lori Province; this decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government of Armenia.
Earlier, Ghukasyan had stated that he will continue his activities at the political party level.
The matter of appointing Aram Khachatryan—former member of the majority My Step faction in parliament—to the post of Lori provincial governor is on the agenda of Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
