YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, things not peaceful even within the opposition political forces.
The thing is that the Homeland Salvation Movement consisting of 17 [opposition] forces does not exist de facto, and the opposition political forces have decided to from now on make a decision in another format and plan how they can achieve the resignation of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Currently, RA Presidents Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan, PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, ARF [Dashnaktsutyun] representative Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Homeland Party leader Artur Vanetsyan, as well as Vazgen Manukyan, nominated by them as PM candidate, are having meetings in that format. But even these leaders do not trust each other and express ideas doubting each other's loyalty to each other—in various circles.
Well-informed sources told Zhoghovurd daily that the leaders first suspect each other that they may have ties with Nikol Pashinyan's government.
The only one from them who is not suspected is Robert Kocharyan, who has set a clear task for everyone: to participate in the [snap parliamentary] elections with one front and to turn the political field into two poles: Nikol Pashinyan's supporters and antipodes.
When the issues will be decided will also depend on the timeframe for the appointment of the elections.
Zhoghovurd daily found out yesterday that although Robert Kocharyan has already returned to Yerevan from Moscow, the [opposition] leaders have not met yet. It is only known that there is a decision to hold a big rally on February 20 and start various actions of [civil] disobedience.
Next week shall be crucial for the opposition, as decisions must be made. Before that, however, first the suspicions about each other must be dispelled; but how, it is difficult to say.
