YEREVAN. – In 2020, we had a steady growth—20.6 percent—in the IT sector, and more than 3,400 jobs were created; the number of jobs increased by 22 percent. Hakob Arshakyan, Minister High-Tech Industry, stated this at Thursday's Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia. 

"Currently, there are 18,400 employees in the sector; 102 new companies have received licenses from the state to have tax benefits," he added.

Also, it was noted that by the decision of the government, grants in the range of 10 to 20 million drams will be given to 64 IT startups in Armenia.
