Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian on Monday had a telephone conversation with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
Both sides stressed their readiness to take steps to intensify the Armenian-Cuban political dialogue and strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The rapprochement of cooperation within the framework of international organizations was also highlighted.
The FMs of Armenia and Cuba exchanged views on integration processes, in particular, the prospects of cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). In this regard, Minister Aivazian underscored the expansion of the geographical borders of the EEU's foreign economic relations. FMs Aivazian and Rodriguez Parrilla expressed confidence that the status of an observer state will allow Cuba to cooperate more effectively with the EEU member states—including Armenia.
During the telephone conversation, a number of issues on the international and regional agenda were also touched upon.
