YEREVAN. – At 7:10pm on March 7, the Police of Armenia received a call from the Noyemberyan town medical center that a baby girl had died after being born at this hospital, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported.

It was found out that at noon on the same day, a 22-year-old resident of Lori Province was admitted to the Noyemberyan medical center, where she later gave birth to a girl, but the newborn had died.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case in this regard, and under the Criminal Code article non-fulfillment, or improper fulfillment, of professional duties by the providers of medical assistance and services.

An investigation is underway.
